"SASO means Saudi Arabian Standards specifications as set forth by the Government of Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for various commodities. The manufacturers or competent authority at country of origin have to issue a certificate that the respective commodity complies with the SASO specifications; and then this certificate has to be legalized from the respective Chamber of Commerce & Industry and Saudi Consulate. This certificate is required to be produced at the time of custom clearance at this end.
